You will have to first send a letter to the Director of the Department of Antiquities, mentioning all the details for the event that you wish to organize. The Director will then decide whether your request is in accordance with the Antiquities’ Law and give his permission or reject your request accordingly.Please

6. What photographic material does the Department of Antiquities have?
The Department’s Photographic Archive has a very rich collection of both black and white and colored photos of ancient objects, monuments and archaeological sites.Please

7. How can I order photos from the Department of Antiquities?
In order for photos to be aquired from the Photographic Archive, you will first need to send a letter to the Director of the Department of Antiquities. Your name, postal address should be noted on the letter as well as the reasons why you wish to acquire the specific photographs (e.g. for publication, for research etc). The photographs are of high (at least 300 dpi) and are stored and delivered on a CD in TIFF or JPEG form.Please

8. How much do photographs cost from the Department of Antiquities?
The scanning of each photograph to a CD costs €8,54 and €5,13 for photographs that have already been scanned. Prior to receiving the CD the customer will have to have previously paid the invoice to the Accounting Department of the Department of Antiquities. The invoice will also include any postage costs if they exist. Payment can be made either by cheque (addressed to the Director of the Department of Antiquities) or the amount can be deposited in the Republic of Cyprus’ Bank account (which will be printed on the invoice).Please
